Hello, I’m Colin.

A crafty blend of marketing, statistics, and photography.

I combine all my passions, and am grateful for that every day. Whether at work or just for fun, I live and breathe marketing, statistics, and photography. It’s a unique skill set resulting in a unique way of thinking.

I feel like I never work, because I’m always doing what I love. I’m an untamed marketer consistently pushing boundaries by challenging myself to reach the top.

In addition to my (probably unhealthy?) coffee addiction, I’m also addicted to learning.

You’ll find me buried in books, online courses, or listening to podcasts while playing Call of Duty or Overwatch. This also feeds my habit of always quoting fun facts non-stop (In addition to the endless Star Wars quotes).

I loathe the status-quo and am driven to find ways of dragging industries forward through a minimalist, agile mindset. This often makes me an early adopter and one to take calculated risks to stay ahead of the market.

    I’ve always had a passion for photography, and in 2014 I landed in the scene of Cosplay photography with the twist of added graphics. It’s led me to meet some of my best friends and travel across North America and beyond.

    Today, the Kaigan has over 9,000+ followers and my work is featured in Kotaku, Guerilla Games, IGN, i09, PlayStation, E3, Sony Entertainment, All Thats Epic, FashtionablyGeek and more.

When I’m not working

You’ll find me playing video games, shooting cosplay or drone photography, travelling, or enjoying a glass of wine with friends.

    In 2018 I sold everything I owned, left Canada and drove to San Francisco. Joining Revinate has been a great experience and put me into the Silicon-Valley startup culture I’ve always dreamed of. Every day I’m excited to work with the team and on a product I myself transitioned to in the past (@ Pinnacle).

    I focused on boosting demand generation efforts through conversion optimization, statistical data analysis, and testing. I worked as part of the small-but-mighty marketing & growth team!

    In 2015 I took an opportunity to move from Victoria to Vancouver to join Pinnacle. I led the marketing initiatives across 3 hotels, 3 restaurants, and consulted internally as needed for real-estate projects.

    Primarily, I helped manage and execute marketing strategy and design to increase direct bookings, launch a multi-hotel loyalty program, and heavily optimize the website and booking process.

    From concept to over 6-figures in sales in under 3 months, ZapDrives taught me a lot about running startups and getting them off the ground.

    Having duties across almost every aspect of the business from sales, CS, marketing, to systems and finance--it really was inclusive of everything in a startup. Our small team of 4 was able to push through and not only create a reputable and recognizable brand, but also amass a social following ahead of the competition.
